And concerning gastronomical pleasures, you can visit l'Escala restaurants and taste the Costa Brava traditional cooking, specially fresh fish, and the famous "anchoves de l'Escala" (Escala anchoves)..

What to see:L'Escala is just beside the archeological site of Empurias, an ancient greek trading centre found in 550 BC. The Romans, under the command of Cornelius Scipion, occupied the town in 218 BC until the 3rd century AD. So, you can visit nice examples of greek and roman town, not to be missed if you like cultural tourism.
