The city of Ibiza is located at the South-East of the island of Ibiza. This city, as Palma de Mallorca, has been influenced by many other cultures, such as phoenicians romans or muslims. That`s why in the city is easy to find buildings from many different times and cultures very close among them. One of the most beautiful places is "Dalt Vila", the old quarter of the town, declarated comon heritage of the humanity in 1999.

However, the city is really known for its vitality and nightlife. If spain is a country where nightlife has always been an important part of the leisure , Ibiza could really be considered the bulwark for youth from all Europe. Despite the fact that is not a really big town, Ibiza has more than 40 discos. Some of them, such as Pacha, Amnesia or Bora-Bora, are really famous.

In fact, during the summer, more than 2.000.000 people visit Ibiza. Many of them are tourists from all arround the world, but specially from Great Britain, Germany and Italy. During the last years Ibiza has left its old fame of hippy-centre, and has become one of the world capitals of the party.
