Cadaqués is a small Costa Brava village located on the Cap de Creus Peninsula, a nature reserve facing the Mediterranean sea. Thanks to its unique personality, artists like Salvador Dalí, Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall discovered Cadaques contrasts and helped give Cadaques the prestige that it enjoys today.

The old town is a network of narrow streets and white houses, an historic quarter with a very special seaside flavour. We recommend to visit the church of Santa Maria, one of the most important Cadaques symbols.

What to visit: We recommend to visit the house-museum of the genius Salvador Dalí, beside Port Lligat bay. Don't forget that Salvador Dalí spent long periods at Cadaqués, so it is a good -and surrealist- oportunity to enjoy part of his work and life. And if you are still interested in art, don't forget the Municipal Art Museum, which exhibits the work of artists who are part of Cadaqués history.

What to do: First at all, you have to enjoy the sea. Cadaqués has excellent beaches and coves, and a natural harbour that enables all kind of water sports: sailing, diving, windsurfing...

And, of course, you must enjoy Cadaqués cuisine: Costa Brava culinary tradition is well represented in Cadaquès, where you can taste the most typical and interesting specialities: "suquet de peix" (stew), fish, rice... and always with a Costa Brava wine (Denomination of Origin).

Finally, if you enjoy nature, you can visit the natural reserve of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà, one of the most important ecological reserves in Spain.
