Blanes is located in the southernmost end of the province of Girona, first Costa Brava town, very near to Lloret de Mar and Tossa de Mar. Along its four-kilometre-long coastline, we can enjoy cliffs, coves and
beaches.
What to see: We recommend the castle of Sant Joan, commissioned in the middle of the 13th century, although the tower is from the times of Charles I; and a monumental site with Gothic buildings
from the 14th and 15th century.
We also recommend the Gothic fountain (14th century) in the old Blanes center. From there you can visit the church of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza. And if you enjoy
nature, in Blanes you can visit Mar i Murtra and Pinya Rosa bontanical gardens.
And, of course, if you want to enjoy Costa Brava beaches, in Blanes you can find the Costa Brava beaches of Santa Ana,
Blanes and S’Abanell. All them are clear water beaches that offer all tourist facilities.
