Begur is a nice calm Costa Brava village, set in the heart of the Baix Empordà area, one of the most famous and beautiful parts of the Costa Brava.
What to visit: You must visit the old town, with narrow streets and porticoed galleries. We recommend to visit the castle of Begur, a good example of medieval remains. Begur castle was constructed in the 15th Century. You can enjoy a nice view from the castle of Begur: the Medes Islands, the Beach of Pals and the Emporda plain can be seen.
The town of Begur also includes the following areas: Esclanyà, Aiguafreda, Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava and Fornells. Some of the most famous and prestigious beaches of the Costa Brava can be found there: Sa Riera, Aiguafreda, sa Tuna, Platja Fonda, Fornells and Aiguablava.
What to do:You can visit “el camino de ronda” promenade (Camí de ronda), an impressive coastal path that runs from Sa Riera towards Pals Beach, Illa Roja bay and el Racó beach.
