Photo of Barcelona and Sagrada Familia

Barcelona is Spain's second largest city after Madrid, and the capital of Catalonia. Barcelona is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe since the 1992 Olympic Games.

Recommended tourist attractions in Barcelona:

Sagrada Familia (Antoni Gaudi)
Address: Calle Mallorca, 08034, Barcelona
Metro: Sagrada Familia (metro blue line L5 and metro purple line L2)

Sagrada Familia (Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família) is the most impressive and famous masterpiece designed by the architect Antoni Gaudi. This building has been under construction since 1882 (Antoni gaudi worked on the project for over 40 years) and they've still got another 30 to 50 years (depending on funding) to go before it will be finished.
The Sagrada Familia Temple will have three grand façades: the Nativity façade to the East, the Glory façade to the South and the Passion façade to the West. The church plan is that of a Latin cross with five aisles, and columns of the interior are a unique Gaudi design. And probably the most impressive part of the Temple: the towers, 18 huge towers are called for the Twelve Apostles, the four Evangelists, the Virgin Mary and, tallest of all, Jesus Christ.
Finally you can decide: Some people love the Sagrada Familia and some people hate it, but you can be sure it will be an unforgettable visit.

La Pedrera - Casa Mila (Antoni Gaudi)
Address: La Pedrera, Calle Provença, 261-265, 08008 Barcelona
Metro: Diagonal (metro green line L3 and metro blue line L5)

La Pedrera ('The Quarry') or Casa Mila is a building designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí. La Pedrera was built during the years 1906–1910 for the Milà family, being considered officially completed in 1912.
Considered more an sculpture than a building, Casa Mila - La Pedrera is one of the most interesting Antoni Gaudi's masterpieces, an imaginative residential building. You can enjoy the undulating stone without straight lines and the forged iron in the balconies imitating vegetal forms. And, of course, you can visit the roof with chimneys that seem warriors protecting Gaudi's World Heritage.
