Photo of Alcudia

Alcudia lies in the north of Majorca Island, at the western end of the magnificent Bay of Alcudia, some 50 km from Palma de Mallorca.

We can consider of Alcudia as two parts: old Alcudia town and Alcudia Port (Port d'Alcudia), just 2000 m away from the walled historical centre of Alcudia.

The old Alcudia town has a Medieval wall (XIV Century) and a Roman theatre. You can also visit the Church of St. Jaume. We recommend a promenade: the walled town is very beautiful, with pedestrianized narrow streets and squares. .

Alcudia Port (Port d'Alcudia) is the most popular part of Alcudia, a place that enjoys a deserved reputation as a holiday destination: nice beaches, good hotels and all kind of accomodation and other facilities.

You can enjoy the Paseo Maritimo de Alcudia (pedestrianised promenade) and the yacht marina. Adjacent to the port is Alcanada, a popular residential area which is a small resort of its own. The Paseo Maritimo ends where the Carretera Arta starts, main road going through the rest of Puerto Alcudia to Playa de Muro and Can Picafort.

And if you want to enjoy Alcudia don't miss Alcudia beach. The warm and clean shallow waters of Alcudia Beach is without doubt a major attraction with fine sand and all kind of tourist facilities. Water sports are a good choice: north and west are many coves perfect for snorkeling. And the main beach in Port d'Alcudia is one of the finest beaches all around Majorca Island, and there you can discover bars, pubs, restaurants and shops.
